1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing pgconf.asia or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or create an account. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers.

2. About PGConf.Asia

PGConf.Asia is a regional PostgreSQL community conference for users, contributors, companies, and community organisers across Asia. The conference is organised by a volunteer committee in accordance with the PostgreSQL Community Conference Recognition criteria.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using a supported identity provider (Google, GitHub, Facebook, WeChat) or an email magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your profile up to date. Accounts must represent real individuals; automated or fictitious accounts are not permitted.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this site or your account to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure.
  • Transmit spam, unsolicited messages, or malicious code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the site, servers, or networks connected to the site.
  • Scrape or harvest data from the site without prior written consent.

5. Conference Participation and Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are required to follow the conference Code of Conduct, which will be published on this site before registration opens. The Code of Conduct applies at all conference venues, social events, and online community spaces associated with PGConf.Asia.

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event without refund, and permanent exclusion from future PGConf.Asia events.

6. Call for Papers and Speaker Submissions

By submitting a talk proposal, you confirm that the content is your original work (or that you have obtained all necessary permissions), that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, and that you are authorised to present it.

If your talk is accepted, you grant PGConf.Asia a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to record, publish, and distribute your presentation, including slides and recordings, for community and archival purposes, unless you explicitly opt out in writing before the event.

7. Intellectual Property

The PGConf.Asia name, logo, and website content are the property of PGConf.Asia and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Use of the PostgreSQL name and logo is subject to the PostgreSQL Trademark Policy.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (talk proposals, profile information, feedback). By submitting content, you grant us a licence to use it in connection with operating and promoting the conference.

8. Registration and Refunds

Conference registration terms, ticket prices, and refund policies will be published on the Attend page before registration opens. Those terms form part of your agreement with PGConf.Asia upon completing registration.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This site and its content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. PGConf.Asia makes no representations about the accuracy or completeness of information on this site and is not liable for any errors or omissions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PGConf.Asia and its organisers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, your attendance at the conference, or any failure of third-party services used in connection with the event.

10. Third-Party Services

This site uses third-party services including Supabase (authentication) and GreenGeeks (hosting). These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; PGConf.Asia is not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users.

12. Governing Law and Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PGConf.Asia 2026 is organised. If you have questions about these terms, please contact the organising committee at the email address published on the About page.
