What is PGConf.Asia?

PGConf.Asia is a regional PostgreSQL community conference that brings together users, developers, contributors, companies, and local communities from across Asia. The conference exists to share PostgreSQL knowledge, support open source collaboration, and give the Asian PostgreSQL community a focused place to meet.

Since the first edition in Japan in 2016, PGConf.Asia has been hosted in Japan, Indonesia, and China, serving as an important platform for technical exchange and regional community collaboration across Asia.

In 2026, PGConf.Asia returns to Hong Kong — marking a renewed chapter for the Asia PostgreSQL community. As PostgreSQL celebrates thirty years as a global open-source project, PGConf.Asia 2026 aims to reconnect communities across the region, highlight real-world PostgreSQL adoption, and help build a stronger foundation for future collaboration in Asia.

Responsible for safe-event processes and incident response. A dedicated women-member reporting contact is available as an additional layer of psychological safety, giving attendees with highly sensitive reports a genuine option to communicate exclusively with women committee members.

Policies

• PGConf.Asia 2026 self-certifies as a PostgreSQL Community Event under the PostgreSQL Community Conference Recognition criteria (postgresql.org/about/policies/conferences/).
• The conference adopts the PostgreSQL Code of Conduct. You can reach the PGConf.Asia 2026 Code of Conduct Committee through email at coc2026@pgconf.asia.
• The organizing committee and talk selection committee are fully disclosed on this website. Neither committee will consist of 50% or more members from a single company or group of companies under the same ultimate ownership or management.
• The Call for Papers is open to all. Solicited or sponsor presentations may bypass the normal selection process only with approval of a majority of the talk selection committee.
• The sponsorship prospectus is published on this website. All sponsors at the same level receive identical benefits at the same cost. There is no exclusive top sponsorship level.
• The conference website and all materials comply with the PostgreSQL Trademark Policy.

Privacy

This site is hosted on GreenGeeks shared hosting. The hosting provider may retain server access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent) for security, debugging, and operational purposes. PGConf.Asia does not control or access those logs directly.

User accounts and authentication are handled by Supabase (supabase.com). When you sign in, your session token is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Supabase's privacy policy applies to the storage and processing of your authentication data.

Supabase is used only for account management, authentication, CFP submissions and reviews, speaker profiles, sponsor administration, and sponsor logo storage. Static conference pages, analytics events, and server logs are not stored in Supabase.

Social sign-in is provided via Google, GitHub, Facebook, and WeChat. When you choose one of these providers, you are redirected to their authentication service. Each provider's own privacy policy governs what data they collect during that process. PGConf.Asia receives only the basic profile information you authorise — typically your name and email address — to identify your account.

If you sign in with a magic link, your email address is stored in Supabase to identify your account. We do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.

This site does not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. No personal data is shared with advertisers.

CFP and sponsor workflows store only the fields needed to run those workflows. Registration and volunteer systems may use separate services in the future; if so, their privacy terms will be linked from the relevant submission page.

To request deletion of your account or any personal data held by PGConf.Asia, contact the organising committee at contact@pgconf.asia.

Financial Disclosure

Organizers and volunteers receive no remuneration for committee service unless a specific reimbursement or travel-support policy is published for the conference.
